Latest from West Ham: how Declan Rice is behaving after links to top Premier League clubs
Daily Star reporter Paul Brown doesn’t think Declan Rice will give up his tools at West Ham this season in order to get a big boost next summer.
What’s the latest news from Rice?
The 22-year-old was linked with a move away from east London this summer as reports claimed both Chelsea and Manchester United were fond of the midfielder.
He ended up staying at Western ham, however, and he still has three years left on his current contract, and the club have the option of extending it for another 12 months.
Still, all of last season’s top four Premier League clubs have been reported to be watching Rice, which could lead to a bidding war for his signing in 2022.

What did Brown say about Rice’s handling of the transfer speculation?
Brown thinks that Rice remains committed to the cause at West Ham, and will have a crucial role to play for David Moyes’ men this term. He also added that he doesn’t expect Rice to drop below his usual standards or give anything less than 100% over the next few months.
Speaking of the 26-caps international, Brown told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t think he was someone who would really rock the boat. You watch him play and he’s an integral part of this team. They just look like a bunch of brothers right now. They all play for each other. They all play with a smile on their face. And Declan Rice is certainly not someone who makes fuss, shoots down tools, or tries to find a way out.

Does Rice continue to improve at West Ham?
It certainly looks like this.
The 6-foot-1 starting midfielder appears to have put all transfer speculation behind him and is going stronger and stronger at London Stadium.
According to WhoScored, he has been the team’s second best player in the league so far this season, receiving an average rating of 7.66.
He also seems to add more to his game in the final third. After registering an assist in West Ham’s 4-1 win over Leicester last month, he went on to score a superb solo Europa League goal against Dinamo Zagreb as the Irons headed for a 2- win. 0.
Considering her leadership qualities as well, it looks like Rice is growing into the full package and is determined to improve, rather than letting uncertainty about her future slow her progress.
